Description: These Narrow Leaf Sunflowers smell like milk chocolate -yummy smelling in the warm sun. I simplify. I make plaid strokes for the stems and just yellow with thick textured strokes to shape the petals. I find it humorous how I gave one bee very long motion trailed wings and the other bee short wings. Sometimes bees fly fast and other time they hover. It is a hot day when I paint this.
How it Was Made: The materials I used are Winsor & Newton Artist Oil Paint, Ampersand Gesso Board, Winsor & Newton Linseed Oil. I painted this plein air in my front yard in Winnipeg.
